| MHC Biologics LLC was founded in May 2007 to focus on clinical applications of a suite of immunology tools developed in the laboratories of Dr. Jon Weidanz (Texas Tech University Pharmacy School and Receptor Logic, Inc.) and Dr. William Hildebrand (Oklahoma University Health Science Center and Pure Vaccine Solutions, Inc.). The primary focus of clinical efforts is on developing novel therapeutics, including therapeutic vaccines for cancer and other diseases. |

Gregory Pogue serves as Vice President of Business Development for Emergent Technologies, Inc., and currently serves on the management team for ETI portfolio company MHC Biologics as President and Managing Director.
As Vice President of Business Development at Emergent Technologies, Dr. Pogue is responsible for evaluating the commercial potential of new technologies, determining both technical and market trajectories, and building partnerships to effectively commercialize products. Dr. Pogue brings over twenty years of experience in biologic development, spanning research management, biologic regulation, and intellectual property development and licensing. Dr. Pogue most recently served as Licensing Associate for the University of Texas at Austin where he negotiated licenses with companies ranging from newly formed startups to Fortune 500 enterprises. Before coming to Texas, Dr. Pogue served as Vice President of Research and Development at Large Scale Biology Corporation (LSBC), where he managed a broad development program involving product development and preclinical and clinical testing of numerous lead compounds, including two receiving Orphan Drug Designation from the US FDA and 16 successfully completing early clinical trials. He also developed licensing and R&D contracts with corporate, academic, and government entities and supervised collaborative research relationships. Before joining LSBC, Dr. Pogue worked in the U.S. FDA's Center for Biologics Research and Evaluation as a scientist with Investigational New Drug and Biological Licensing Application review responsibilities. He holds a B.S. from Midwestern State University and a Ph.D. from Texas A&M University. Pogue has published numerous original scientific articles and reviews, is an inventor on multiple U.S. patents, and is a frequent invited speaker at national and international scientific meetings. |

| Dr. Capra was the President of the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation after leaving the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas in 1997, where he served as professor of microbiology and internal medicine and was the Edwin L. Cox Distinguished Chair in Immunology and Genetics. He joined UT Southwestern in 1974 and in 1994 was named Director of Southwestern’s Molecular Immunology Center. Dr. Capra is well known for his studies of antibody genes and how they are mutated in autoimmune disorders. His early work on the relationship of the hypervariable regions of antibodies to the antibody combining site and idiotype of an immunoglobulin molecule are well known. He has published over 400 papers in the scientific literature, edited four books including a textbook of Immunology, and co-authored a book “The Antibody Enigma”. |

| Dr. Peoples is a clinician and co-inventor of the core technology of Apthera. Dr. Peoples has been named to direct the newly created United States Military Cancer Institute’s Clinical Trials Program which is headquartered at Brooke Army Medical Center in Ft. Sam Houston, TX. Dr. Peoples previously served as Chief of Surgical Oncology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC). He continues to serve as the Director of the Cancer Vaccine Development Laboratory at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. |

Ed Merrifield serves as Chief Operations Officer for Emergent Technologies, Inc. and currently serves on the management team for ETI portfolio company MHC Biologics as Chief Operations Officer.
Ed Merrifield has over 35 years of progressive and successful experience in private and public companies alike. Experience ranges from early beginnings in the finance accounting arena to Chief Operating Officer for an internationally recognized software company. Merrifield has considerable experience in the wholesale and distribution industries in upper management positions, served as a corporate officer for an international insurance brokerage, a senior officer for one of the leading publicly traded call center companies (Sykes Enterprises, Inc. NASDAQ-SYKE), and president and co-owner of Big Kahuna Productions, Inc., a movie and video company in Maui, HI. Merrifield has enjoyed a prosperous career in high technology, service and distribution arenas. During his tenure he has been directly responsible for both large and small operations, managed strong growth and profitability, handled an array of mergers and acquisitions, managed international accounts, closed high profile sales on both a national and international basis, established national and international distribution programs, written and negotiated high value contracts, developed first class management teams, and led very successful turnaround operations. Merrifield has strong beliefs within a myriad of business principles, including the importance of integrity, customer relationships, team spirit, quality, and employee morale, while always striving to enhance community relations, corporate profitability and shareholder valuations. Merrifield holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Accounting. |

K. Lance Anderson serves as Associate General Counsel and Intellectual Property Manager for Emergent Technologies, Inc. and currently serves on the management team for ETI portfolio company MHC Biologics as Assistant Secretary.
As Associate General Counsel and Intellectual Property Manager for ETI, Mr. Anderson supports the legal and patent management efforts for ETI and its portfolio companies. Mr. Anderson is a registered patent attorney and is licensed to practice in the state of Texas. Prior to joining ETI in July 2006, Mr. Anderson served as the Managing Director for Texas Tech University's Office of Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property. His roles at Texas Tech included managing all aspects of patenting and licensing inventions developed by campus researchers. He received his law degree at Texas Tech, as well as a BS in Entomology, and an MS in Crop Sciences. |
